Cleverness is not wisdom.
 Euripides

Ignorant men raise questions that wise men
answered a thousand years ago.

Never does nature say one
thing and wisdom another.

BUILDING AN INTELLIGENT FUTURE OUTSIDE

EXISTING INSTITUTIONS

The Nova Society Symposia is what we believe an international society of scholars, experts, inventors, innovative artists and laymen may become in the future.

Our Nova Town first headquarters facility will be a Global Host for cross-discipline gatherings for people with wondering creative minds. We invite volunteers from all segments of science, innovation, philosophy and the arts to work with us on the development of the most effective solutions to issues such as the environmental, economic and cultural crises rooted in our deficient knowledge, poor ethics, and postmodern mentality, still recycling failed ideas within our hectic mode of living today.

Our SYMPOSIUMS which help us build a FUTURISTIC NOVA SOCIETY have no conventional barriers for our thoughtful participants and guests, coming from all kinds of different fields and backgrounds.

NOVA TOWN SYMPOSIUMS ARE VERY SPECIAL GATHERINGS:

RETHINKING KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION

What kind of basic knowledge shall we offer to the young students from now on? Shall we continue to train young minds to serve our existing failing social, economic, educational and political systems, supporting our recycling conventional mentality and bad habits, or shall we bring some inspirational ideas suggesting re-thinking our very existence in whole? Shall our new schools  become greenhouses for growing talents and originality, planting meaningful thoughts, new wisdom and ethics, that may turn into inspirational and useful projects of all kinds? Shall we introduce every young person to the idea that he/she is not meant to be a tiny segment of the crowd but a responsible learning denizen of the globe?

SYMPOSIUM:

a. What are autistic children? Do we all have some kind of autistm? How can we recognise this condition in any so-called average person? Why is that each of us is always autistic to some degree?

b. Building a new school for autistic children, which concept and design has been based on our new understanding of this condition.  What we all have to learn about our minds and great limitations of our perceptions.

================================

With a highest respect to the original and independent thinking we are here to found a new institution for discovering and effectively practicing the most inspirational ideas from antiquity to postmodern time.

Eventually we will be designing and building an actual futuristic community/town while realizing the most intelligent and sound ideas, perhaps quite opposite to the existing notorious, as we believe, outdated "futuristic" concepts and style, still recycling in our postmodern world as "new" and "contemporary".

We are here to revise our old paradigms.

Our Nova Society has unique cross-sector periodic discussions and workshops, combining actual, radio and online events. We are developing a very unusual network, impossible inside the narrow walls of existing institutions.

We encourage our thoughtful contributors, scientists, inventors, writers, philosophers, psychologists, architects, economists, artists, environmentalists, journalists, farmers, business owners and entrepreneurs, teachers and students, medical doctors, and practically everyone, to demonstrate their ideas and dreams about how they visualize a new sustainable, beautiful and peaceful futuristic Nova Town.

We welcome Your most inspirational, innovative solutions to our great local and global problems, will be published on our website and shared with the public at large.

"Essays and Aphorisms"
ARTHUR SCHOPENHAUER(1788-1860)

When you see the many and manifold institution for teaching and learning and the great crowd of pupils and masters which throngs them you might think the human race was much occupied with wisdom and insight. But here too appearance is deceptive. The latter teach to earn money, and strive not for wisdom but for the appearance of it and to be credited with it; the former learn, not to achieve knowledge and insight, but so as to be able to chatter about them and give themselves airs. Every thirty years a new generation appears which knows nothing and then sets about trying to gulp down summarily and as fast as possible all the human knowledge assembled over the millennia, after which it would like to think it knows more than all the past put together. To this end it resorts to universities and reaches out for books, and for the most recent ones too, as being its own contemporaries and fellows of its age. Everything quick and everything new! as new as it itself is. And then off it goes, loud with its own opinions!

Paragraph 6 A

Some of the original ideas contributed to The First Nova Society will be selected for our honorable award - a publication in one of the major national magazines.

(Some of the chosen by Nova Society original scientific, cultural, architectural, economic, environmental, energy and infrastructure ideas and innovative services may be eventually incorporated in our actual designing of a Futuristic Nova Town, however based upon our mutual agreement between Nova Town and the author/producer/inventor.)
